Man suspected of killing young mother during domestic dispute

Miami Police have arrested a 26-year-old man who they say shot and killed a young mother of four early Wednesday.

Victor L. Pino allegedly killed 28-year-old Anshamere Cephus around 1 a.m. Wednesday outside of the Homeless Assistance Center, 1550 N Miami Ave.

He has been charged with second-degree murder, possessing a firearm as a convicted felon and tampering with evidence.

An unnamed police source told CBS4′s Jim DeFede that Pino was dating Cephus and killed her because he thought she was having an affair with someone who worked at the homeless center.

Several Miami-Dade Police officers went to the North Miami home where Cephus' parents live after Pino made a threat that he was going to kill someone there, according to the source.

Cephus, who went by "Shay," had three sons and a baby daughter. A friend told CBS4 that the children are now with their grandmother.
