Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - Former Breeders' Stakes winner Up With the Birds is the 2-1 morning line favorite for Woodbine's $200,000 Nijinsky Stakes Saturday on the turf.

Owned by Sam-Son Farm, Up With the Birds will break from the outside post in the seven-horse field with Eurico Rosa Da Silva riding in the 1 1/8-mile stakes.

Up With the Birds, trained by Malcolm Pierce, will be making his third start of the year after consecutive sixth-place finishes in an allowance race at Keeneland and the Dixie Handicap at Pimlico on Preakness Day.

Along with the second leg of Canada's Triple Crown, the 4-year-old colt has posted victories in the Jamaica, Marine and Black Gold Stakes. He comes into the Nijinsky with six wins in 11 lifetime starts for $1,152,259.

Owned by Live Oak Plantation, Za Approval is the 5-2 second choice and will start the 1 1/8-mile grass stakes from post 4. Joe Bravo will come in from Monmouth Park to ride the 6-year-old gray gelding.

Za Approval, trained by Christophe Clement, was second to Wise Dan in the Breeders' Cup Mile by less than a length at Santa Anita last Nov. 2. Last year at Woodbine, Za Approval was second to Wise Dan in the Woodbine Mile.

Za Approval is going for his first win of the year after three losing efforts. He began 2014 at Santa Anita with a fourth-place finish in the Frank E. Kilroe Mile on March 8. Five weeks later he lost again to Wise Dan, this time in the Marker's 46 Mile at Keeneland when he was fourth. Most recently on May 26 he failed as the 4-5 favorite in Belmont Park's Poker Stakes, finishing third to Jack Milton.

The gelding has won seven of 20 career starts for better than $1.1 million.

Here is the field for the Nijinsky in post position order: River Seven, Jesse Campbell, 6-1: Dynamic Sky, Patrick Husbands, 10-1; Really Sharp, Steven Bahen, 8-1; Za Approval, Joe Bravo, 5-2; Five Iron, Luis Contreras, 3-1; Dorsett, David Moran, 15-1 and Up With the Birds, Eurico Rosa Da Silva, 2-1.

The Nijinsky has an approximate post time of 4:30 p.m. ET.
