Wozniacki advances in Istanbul

Istanbul, Turkey (SportsNetwork.com) - Caroline Wozniacki highlighted the second-round winners Wednesday at the Istanbul Cup.

The top-seeded Dane rallied to beat Italian Karin Knapp 4-6, 6-2, 6-1.

Two seeded players were eliminated Wednesday.

France's Kristina Mladenovic upset third-seeded Czech Klara Koukalova 6-1, 6-3, while Italian Francesca Schiavone defeated seventh-seeded Serbian Bojana Jovanovski 6-1, 6-4.

Mladenovic and Schiavone will meet in the quarterfinals.

Fourth-seeded Ukrainian Elina Svitolina easily advanced to the quarterfinals, beating Switzerland's Stefanie Voegele 6-0, 6-3.
