Lions, Ford Motor team up for anti-hunger effort

The Associated Press

The Detroit Lions and Ford Motor Co. are teaming up to fight hunger in the city.

The football team and automaker are trying to bring awareness to the Meet Up & Eat Up program.

Children who regularly eat free or reduced-price school meals and need access to food in the summer months are encouraged to visit Meet Up & Eat Up sites.

Lions players, alumni and team mascot Roary will be at a number of the sites over the coming weeks.
