Australia to play Belgium, UAE and Qatar

Football Federation Australia has confirmed friendlies against Belgium, the United Arab Emirates and Qatar later this year as part of the Socceroos' preparation for the 2015 Asian Cup.

Australia will play World Cup quarterfinalist Belgium in Belgium on Sep. 4, before taking on the UAE on Oct. 10 and Qatar on Oct. 14 at a yet to be named Middle East venue.

FFA said Tuesday it is also in negotiations for a second friendly in Europe during the September and two matches in Australia in November.

Australia will host the 2015 regional Asian Cup tournament from Jan. 9-31.
