2 die when truck slams into crash scene

The Associated Press

The Florida Highway Patrol says the drivers of a pickup truck and a motorcycle died after being struck by a third vehicle.

According to troopers, 72-year-old Terry Maurice Edwards turned in front of a motorcycle driven by 29-year-old Kenneth Michael Demmith near Hudson on Sunday night. Edwards got out of his truck and went toward Demmith, who'd been thrown onto the side of the road.

That's when another pickup truck driven by 59-year-old John Lindsay hit both men. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Lindsay was not injured.

An investigation continues.
