Fairbury to host author, artist symposium

Registration is now open for the first Nebraska Authors and Artists Symposium in Fairbury.

The event will run Aug. 1-3, with a central theme of "The Old West."

Events include a book signing with author Charlotte Endorf, an art walk, a wine tasting event and a photography exhibit. On Aug. 2, authors and speakers will present a variety of programs, including ones that explore Buffalo Bill's Wild West and the art of trick roping.

The registration deadline is July 25. Attendees can choose to attend the whole event or parts of it.
