Royal Caribbean International has a new way to show off its hardware. The Miami-based cruise line announced Monday that the megaship Allure of the Seas can now be examined at the “Street View” level on Google Maps.

The cruise company said it is the first in the industry to use Google Maps Business View on a ship.

More than 20,000 images shot over eight days in May make it possible for potential vacationers to see areas including the Royal Promenade, Central Park, Boardwalk, AquaTheater, Entertainment Place, restaurants and some staterooms on the 5,400-passenger vessel.

Allure of the Seas, which launched in late 2010, is the only ship in Royal Caribbean’s fleet to be included in Google Maps. The Street View is available by searching for Allure of the Seas in maps.google.com or by going to http://www.royalcaribbean.co.uk/royalview.
