Magic waive Maxiell

Orlando, FL (SportsNetwork.com) - The Orlando Magic waived forward Jason Maxiell on Friday.

Maxiell signed with Orlando last July after playing his first eight NBA seasons with Detroit and appeared in just 34 games with 13 starts for the Magic during the 2013-14 season. He averaged 3.2 points with 2.5 rebounds.

Originally selected by the Pistons with the 26th overall pick of the 2005 NBA Draft, Maxiell has averaged 5.9 points and 4.3 rebounds in 557 career games.
