(SportsNetwork.com) - Two-time winner on the European Tour Marc Warren highlighted a group of 12 players to qualify for a place at the upcoming British Open on Tuesday.

Warren, who picked up his European titles at the 2006 Scandinavian Masters and 2007 Johnnie Walker Championship, finished the qualifier at Gailes Links at 9- under to finish on top of the leaderboard.

Also earning spots at the British Open at Gailes Links were fellow Scots James McLeary and Paul McKechnie, who birdied the first playoff hole against Rhys Davies to earn his place.

Matthew Southgate carded a 5-under 64 during his second round at Sunningdale to lead the field with a total of 4-under. Byeong-Hun An closed with a 3-under 66 to claim the second qualifying spot at 3-under and halfway leader Christopher Rodgers held on to the third place at 1-over despite tripping to a 3-over 72 during his second round.

Amateur Paul Dunne paced the field at Woburn to earn his spot at the British Open following a pair of 5-under 67s. Oliver Fisher, the 2011 Czech Open winner, took the second qualifying spot at 7-under, while Rhys Enoch chipped in for birdie to win a 3-man playoff against Jack Wilson and amateur Tomasz Anderson to claim the final qualifying spot.

All three places from Hillside were decided in a playoff as John Singleton, Christopher Hanson, Oscar Floren and amateur Nick Marsh all tied for the lead at 6-under. Marsh was the odd man out there with a bogey at the second playoff hole as Singleton, Hanson and Floren all survived to play at Royal Liverpool.

The 2014 British Open will be contested from July 17-20.

FILE - In this July 23, 2014, file photo, Hunter Mahan, from Dallas, Texas, tees off during the pro-am event at the Canadian Open golf championship at Royal Montreal golf club in Montreal. As the FedEx Cup enters its eighth year, Mahan is the only player to have never missed a playoff event. Mahan has come to expect that kind of consistency, although that hasn't been the case this year.

The swing was efficient as ever, and the ball soared toward the far end of the range with a tight draw as Hunter Mahan held his pose.
