Miami-Dade police on Monday named the three people killed in a fiery crash over the weekend.

Christian Manuel Ruiz was driving a Mercedes-Benz S50 north on Northwest 47th Avenue near Miami Gardens when he rear-ended a PT Cruiser with two people inside.

The Mercedes-Benz was speeding when it struck the Chrysler PT Cruiser early Sunday with driver Mariano Miranda, 66, and Mercedes Miranda, 60, inside, police said.

The PT Cruiser then spun into the southbound lanes and hit a Ford F-150 pickup truck driven by Wozenski Celestin Megie before coming to rest in the front yard of a house.

The PT Cruiser caught fire in the yard while people rushed to rescue the victims and put out the flames. But it was too late.

Mariano and passenger Mercedes died on the street along with the driver of the Mercedes-Benz. Celestin Megie escaped the wreck without injuries.
