Florida: Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens hosting two new exhibits

Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens in Delray Beach has two new exhibits: Samurai Culture: Treasures of South Florida Collections and From A Quiet Place: The Paper Sculptures of Kyoko Hazama. The first features samurai suits of armor and weapons fashioned during the Edo period (1600-1868). The other showcases elaborate paper sculptures by Kyoko Hazama, who describes them as “symbolic self-portraits” made from washi, a traditional Japanese paper. The exhibits are on display through Aug.  31.
