Pitbull talks Pants-gate, Rick Ross shedding pounds, but how?

Good to know Pitbull has a sense of humor about those pants: the white high waisted floodwaters that were all the buzz after the World Cup opening ceremonies. Last week while appearing on The Tonight Show he told host Jimmy Fallon, while in Orlando: “Who would have ever thought that the talk of the performance would have been some rolled up pants? If I would have known that, I would have been rolling up my pants for many years already.”

Fallon, who donned a white pair himself to commiserate, congratulated Mr. 305 on being selected to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

Biggest loser

Rick Ross is the incredible shrinking man. The rapper has been showing off a slimmer physique lately. It’s no secret that Ross has long been battling the bulge. In April, he said in an interview with Washington, D.C., radio station 93.9 WKYS FM that he had no specific goal weight, just wanted to get healthy.

New on the agenda: CrossFit workouts and eating well. Imagine that! “You know, the most I used to do for exercise was stand up to count the money,” Ross told London celebrity journalist Tim Westwood last month. “But now, they [his trainers] give me fruit to eat. I forgot what fruit tasted like. I eat pears now and s--t like that.”

There may be another reason for his appearance: the gossip website MediaTakeOut.com reports that the entertainer underwent lap band surgery.

Cocktails & couture

Spotted rooftop at The Betsy South Beach Sunday evening: Project Runway season 7 finalist and Tony award-nominated designer Emilio Sosa. The New Yorker was hosting a Dress for Success cocktail party for Le Beau Maroc’s caftans, directly from Morocco. Walking in the runway show was entrepreneur/designer/singer Meghan Walsh, daughter of America’s Most Wanted John Walsh.

Birthday girl

Who’s afraid of being forty something? Not Paulina Rubio. The sexy pop diva knows how to do her cumpleaños right. Last Tuesday, to ring in number 43, the divorced pop diva reportedly partied with about 15 people at the Cavalli Restaurant and Lounge in Miami Beach. The ex X Factor judge posted a picture with her berry topped cake on Instagram and received more than 7,000 “likes.”

Lost dog

Onetime Bachelorette contestant Michael Garofola needs your help. No, not in finding a date. He found a male, deer-head chihuahua in the middle of US-1 and Bird Road (Southwest 40th) during a storm in Coral Gables on Saturday afternoon. Garofola has named the pup — wearing an olive green alligator leather collar but no tag nor chip — Max. If you know anyone looking for this guapo little guy, inbox Garofola on Facebook, where he posted a few more pics on his page.
