What do you recommend?

The Goldfinch [by Donna Tartt], which should be in everyone’s reading basket of golden eggs. And on the lighter side, which is what this summer’s reading is mostly about for me as I’m working on a new novel that takes up most of my time and brain space: The World According to Karl [about Karl Lagerfeld], a compendium of quotes that peer behind the fashion designer’s famous sunglasses. Also, this amazing graphic novel (even if you think you are too old for cartoons, you’re not): Tony Millionaire’s Sock Monkey Collection.”
