New GM announced for Sunbeam Television

Robert Leider, executive vice president and general manager of WSVN-Fox 7 owner Sunbeam Television Corporation, will leave that position on Sept. 1.

Leider will become vice president and consultant at Sunbeam, focusing on the station’s community outreach efforts. The station announced the news Friday.

Chris Wayland, vice president and general manager of WHDH and WLVI in Boston, will become Sunbeam’s executive vice president and general manager. Both of the Boston stations are also owned by Sunbeam.

Wayland will commute between Miami and Boston.
