Eastbourne, England (SportsNetwork.com) - Former world No. 1 star Victoria Azarenka accepted a wild card to play in next week's Aegon International tennis event, a grass-court Wimbledon tune-up in Eastbourne.

Azarenka has been sidelined with a right foot injury for three months and dropped to No. 8 in the latest WTA rankings.

The 24-year-old Belarusian is a two-time Wimbledon semifinalist. Last year, she pulled out of her second-round match at Wimbledon after injuring her right knee in a fall during her first-round win at the All England Club.

Wimbledon 2014 will commence June 23.
