Broncos sign first-round pick Roby

The Sports Network

Englewood, CO (SportsNetwork.com) - The Denver Broncos announced Tuesday that they have signed cornerback Bradley Roby, the team's first-round selection in this year's NFL Draft.

Roby, the 31st overall pick, started all 37 games he appeared in during his three-year career at Ohio State and finished third in school history with 226 return yards on eight interceptions. The All-Big Ten honoree scored five touchdowns, including two on special teams, during his tenure with the Buckeyes.

The speedy Georgia native is expected to become an immediate contributor to a Denver secondary which lost veteran corners Champ Bailey and Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie through free agency during the offseason.

With Roby agreeing to his rookie deal, the Broncos now have their entire 2014 draft class under contract.
