The June 7 headline County cracks down on Lyft, makes me feel so much safer living in Miami. The words: Undercover, impounding and $2,000 fine are also very powerful. Then further in the article I read that Lyft and UberX are legal in dozens of cities.
Now I am confused. What is the problem? Is the county protecting medallions worth $350,000, Miami’s tax revenues and residents or just stopping inevitable progress?
