Recap: Los Angeles vs. Chivas USA

Carson, CA ( - Chivas USA and the Los Angeles Galaxy shared the spoils in the latest installment of the SuperClasico as the two sides played to a 1-1 draw at the StubHub Center on Sunday.

The Goats took a shock lead after 20 minutes when Erick Torres pounced on a giveaway in the Galaxy penalty area, evaded a couple defenders and fired a shot past Jaime Penedo.

But the lead lasted just 15 minutes as Gyasi Zardes leveled the score, meeting a cross from Marcelo Sarvas and nodding home his third goal of the season.

It proved to be the final strike of the game as the two sides settled for a point.

Chivas (2-7-5) remains at the foot of the Western Conference table on 11 points, six points back of the Galaxy (4-3-5).
