Lampert rolls to Challenge Tour win

La Gomera, Canary Islands ( - Moritz Lampert closed with an 8-under 63 on Sunday and picked up a 2-stroke win at the Fred Olsen Challenge de Espana.

Lampert finished at 20-under-par 264. This was his second win of the season, and second of his career on the European Challenge Tour.

The German torched the front nine as he birdied four of the first five holes. After stumbling to a bogey on No. 6, Lampert birdied three in a row from the seventh and made the turn at minus-18 at Tecina Golf.

Lampert birdied the 11th for the first time this week. He parred five in a row from the 12th before he birdied the 17th for the fourth day in a row. Lampert parred the last to seal the win.

Hugues Joannes closed with a 7-under 64 to grab second place at minus-18. Luis Claverie (64) and Matteo DelPodio (69) shared third at 16-under 268.
