Phillies call up Cedeno

Cincinnati, OH (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies have selected the contract of infielder Ronny Cedeno from Triple-A Lehigh Valley.

Cedeno, 31, hit .286 with one homer in 42 games with Lehigh Valley.

In 89 games last season with Houston and San Diego, Cedeno hit .242 with three homers and 21 RBI.

Philadelphia also activated pitcher Luis Garcia from the 15-day disabled list and optioned him to Lehigh Valley and designated pitcher Cesar Jimenez for assignment.
