Lufthansa is bringing back direct service between Miami and Munich at the end of the year.

The German airline will operate the direct flights five days a week — every day but Monday and Friday — starting Dec. 2 on a 217-seat Airbus A330-300.

Flights are planned through the end of April 2015; a spokeswoman said a decision has not been made on whether to continue the service into next summer.

Lufthansa, which flies daily between Miami and Frankfurt, last offered Munich flights from Miami between March of 2010 and May of 2011.
