My congratulations for your May 23 editorial, No time to ease up on Cuba, about the letter signed by a number of personalities previously from the State Department and from the business community.
The Castro brothers, Cuba’s tyrannical and super long-lasting rulers have recently, as you state, stepped up actions to curtail human rights and restrict whatever minimal political dissent Cubans could enjoy on their devastated island.
This is definitely not the time to expand trade and travel by Americans to Cuba. It takes two to tango, and obviously they don’t want to dance with us.
