If David Beckham wants to play soccer in Miami, why not play in Sun Life Stadium where we already have FIFA soccer matches being played?
The residents in the fast-growing downtown area need an open park by the bay more than they need their bay filled with concrete for the purpose of erecting another stadium.
We destroyed a beautiful scenic marina to erect Bayside. We then allowed Ralph Sanchez to build a race course through a once lovely park. Finally the AmericanAirlines Arena was built on land also set aside for parks. After seeing what these elected fools have done to my once beautiful waterfront, I demand, as I believe many others do, that no more park land be given to rich entrepreneurs. What we are all in need of now is space, unobstructed, waterfront space.
