Falcons sign No. 6 pick Matthews

Flowery Branch, GA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Atlanta Falcons have agreed to terms on contracts with first-round draft pick Jake Matthews and second-round selection Ra'Shede Hageman.

Terms of the deals, which were announced Wednesday, were not disclosed.

Matthews, the 6-foot-5, 309-pound offensive tackle out of Texas A&M, was taken No. 6 overall after four seasons with the Aggies, including the last as left tackle for Johnny Manziel.

He has an NFL pedigree. He's the son of NFL Hall-of-Fame offensive lineman Bruce Matthews and the cousin of current NFL players Clay and Casey Matthews.

Hageman, the 6-foot-6, 318-pound defensive tackle out of Minnesota, was taken with the 37th overall pick two weeks ago.
