Boston, MA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Detroit Tigers activated pitcher Anibal Sanchez off the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

Sanchez had been on the DL since April 27 due to a blister.

He suffered the injury during an April 26 game against Minnesota, leaving the contest after 2 2/3 hitless innings.

The right-hander was 0-2 with a 3.13 earned run average in five starts prior to his stint on the DL.

To make room on the roster, the team optioned pitcher Justin Miller to Triple- A Toledo. He went 1-0 with a 3.48 ERA in seven appearances out of the bullpen.
