Colorado (4-3-3) at Real Salt Lake (5-0-5), 9:30 p.m.

Sandy, UT (SportsNetwork.com) - The first Rocky Mountain Cup match of the season takes place on Saturday at Rio Tinto Stadium as the Colorado Rapids visit unbeaten Real Salt Lake.

The Rapids claimed the Rocky Mountain Cup last season with a win and two draws against RSL, but Colorado has claimed only one win from its last five games, while Salt Lake is the last unbeaten team in MLS.

Colorado's 3-1 home defeat to Chivas USA last weekend was one of the worst performances by the club this season as it saw Chivas score three times in a 20-minute span in the second half, including two goals from former Rapid Marvin Chavez.

Often there are things that can be taken from a loss, but for Rapids defender Shane O'Neill, it is better to just forget about the game and move forward.

"I'm not sure we want to take away anything from this game," said O'Neill following the loss to Chivas. "It's just one of those days that you want to forget about. If we could've gotten three points here, it would have been massive in the standings and we would have gone to Salt Lake and been in a really good spot. Now there's a little bit more pressure on us. I think this is just one of those games you want to forget about and move on."

Salt Lake, meanwhile, had a performance to remember as the team won at Houston for the first time in its 10th attempt.

Javier Morales scored 15 seconds into the game and went on to net his first career MLS hat trick as RSL handed the Dynamo a 5-2 defeat that extends the team's unbeaten start to the season to 10 games.

Salt Lake is now just two games shy of matching the 1996 Los Angeles Galaxy for the most games unbeaten to start a season, and the Rapids would love nothing more than to bring an end to that streak.

Another streak Colorado is hoping to halt is the fact that the home team has not lost a Rocky Mountain Cup match since 2007, when the Rapids lost 1-0 to RSL in Commerce City.

The two teams are certainly in very different runs of form, but Salt Lake will be without three key players for Saturday's match, which could balance things a bit.

Goalkeeper Nick Rimando and midfielder Kyle Beckerman are both at the United States national team camp, while forward and leading scorer Alvaro Saborio is away with Costa Rica.
