Midday service, procession planned for Beach officer

 

MIAMI HERALD STAFF

A midday funeral service and procession Friday for Miami Beach Police Officer David Key, an eight-year department veteran who died recently of colon cancer, will take place from 12:30 to 3 p.m., according to according to Deputy Chief John Buhrmaster.

The funeral will be at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 3716 Garden Ave, Miami Beach.

Traffic delays are expected on the Julia Tuttle Causeway, 41st Street, Alton Road near 41st Street and streets surrounding St. Patrick’s. Motorists should avoid those areas during this time.
