While attending a recent graduation ceremony from a Florida public university, I couldn’t help but notice how many foreign students were graduating. From watching the ceremonies, I would venture to say that 75 percent of the kids I saw were from abroad. Of the 25 percent who were Americans, I wonder how many were from Florida.
I’m appalled at what is being done with our tax money. Floridians’ taxes should not be spent on kids from other countries.
Is this the same old story? Do we only support people of means? Why can’t we get back to supporting the kids who have parents that pay taxes for their kids to go to an institution of higher learning? I wonder how many Florida kids are turned away because the slots are taken by foreigners.
