Save our waterfront

Nature blessed us with waterfront. Why are our county leaders determined to squander the little bit that remains open to the public in Miami? Have our leaders tried to drive on Biscayne Boulevard when a Heat game ends? We, who live in the Biscayne Boulevard area or on Venetian Causeway cannot get home now. Adding more traffic to this area will create gridlock. Also, once public land is converted to private use, it is lost to the public. We need a public activated park with parking in this area.

I support Major League Soccer unequivocally. But let’s save our waterfront and build a stadium near the Dolphin stadium or Marlins Park, using the synergy to create a new economic zone with year-round entertainment and business opportunities.
