Phillies outright Camp, recall Garcia

The Sports Network

Toronto, ON (SportsNetwork.com) - The Philadelphia Phillies outrighted pitcher Shawn Camp to Triple-A Lehigh Valley Thursday and recalled reliever Luis Garcia from the IronPigs.

Camp, who signed with the Phillies in the offseason, appeared in three games this season and allowed two runs on seven hits and a walk over 3 1/3 innings.

The 38-year-old right-hander has the option of becoming a free agent, rather than heading to Lehigh Valley.

Garcia, 27, has not allowed a run over 11 appearances with the IronPigs this season, going 2-0 with six saves and 13 strikeouts over 13 2/3 innings.

Garcia made one appearance for the Phillies this season, striking out one in a scoreless inning of work on April 14.
