Rockies' Rutledge lands on DL

Denver, CO ( - The Colorado Rockies have placed infielder Josh Rutledge on the 15-day disabled list with a viral infection.

Rutledge is batting .318 with one homer and four RBI in 11 games this season. The move is retroactive to April 28.

To fill the roster spot, the Rockies recalled infielder Ryan Wheeler from Triple-A Colorado Springs. He hit .220 with seven RBI in 28 games with the Rockies last season.
