Blue Jays recall Kratz, option Jenkins

Pittsburgh, PA (SportsNetwork.com) - The Toronto Blue Jays recalled catcher Erik Kratz from Triple-A Buffalo and optioned pitcher Chad Jenkins to Buffalo on Friday.

Kratz collected one homer and four RBI with a .200 batting average in seven prior appearances for the Jays this season.

Jenkins did not record a decision in his lone game of 2014, having given up three runs on five hits with two strikeouts over 1 2/3 innings in a 7-6 loss to the Red Sox on April 26.
