Miami, FL ( - The Miami Marlins activated infielder Ed Lucas from the 15-day disabled list on Tuesday.

The 31-year-old Lucas suffered a non-displaced fracture in his left hand when he was hit by a pitch in a spring training game in late March.

Lucas made his major league debut with the Marlins last year, batting .256 with four homers and 28 RBI over 94 games.

In a corresponding move, the Marlins designated infielder Greg Dobbs for assignment. Dobbs, 35, was 1-for-13 in 15 games this season.
