Baltimore's Davis hits DL

The Sports Network

Baltimore, MD (SportsNetwork.com) - Baltimore Orioles first baseman Chris Davis was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Sunday.

The move is retroactive to April 26, one day after Davis left Baltimore's game against Kansas City with a strained left oblique.

Davis grimaced while swinging in the third inning, but remained in the game before leaving between the fourth and fifth frames.

Davis, who led the majors with 53 home runs last season, has just two round-trippers through 22 games this season with a .250 average and 13 RBI.
