Spirit Airlines adding service to New Orleans, Houston

Spirit Airlines is adding flights to two new destinations from Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.

The low-cost carrier, which has headquarters in Miramar, said this week that daily service between Fort Lauderdale and Louis Armstrong New Orleans International Airport will start Aug. 1.

Daily flights to and from Houston’s George Bush International Airport will begin on Sept. 3. Flights will continue on the same plane to San Diego after stopping in Houston.
