Council members take oath of office in Bay Harbor Islands

Special to the Miami Herald

The two newly elected council members in the town of Bay Harbor Islands have been sworn into office.

Jordan Leonard and Joshua Fuller took their oath of office on April 7.

Leonard won another four-year term seat into office and Fuller won the two years remaining in former council member Francisco Temprano’s term.

The council also decided that Robert Yaffe will continue to act as mayor, while Jordan Leonard will remain as vice-mayor.

Council member Kelly Reid had nominated Fuller as vice mayor, but Fuller declined the nomination.

The annual salaries of $1 per year to each council member were approved along with the regular salaries of Town Clerk Marlene Marante, and town attorneys Craig Sherman, Drew B. Sherman, and Frank Simone were also approved.

Marante and the attorneys were also sworn into office.
