Verizon installs advanced wireless systems at arenas

Telecommunications giant Verizon Wireless has installed advanced in-building 4G LTE wireless systems at the American Airlines Arena in Miami and the BB&T Center in Sunrise. The systems will enhance high-speed wireless coverage and allow more sports fans and concert-goers to call, text, access the Internet and post on social networks while at both major South Florida arenas.

The AAA project in downtown Miami was completed this week in time for the upcoming basketball playoffs. The BB&T system was activated earlier in 2014.
