Grey Goose Vodka said it is introducing a new flavor, Grey Goose Le Melon, early next month, in time for summer. The launch is in in line with Grey Goose Vodka’s newest campaign, “Fly Beyond.”

Grey Goose said it came up with the new flavor through extensive qualitative research, flavor development by Grey Goose’s Maître de Chai, François Thibault, and quantitative results. The company, which is owned by Bacardi, said the taste offers strong overtones of juicy melon, leading into lighter notes of white citrus almond.

Thibault created Le Melon to celebrate and showcase the Cavaillon melon from the South of France. The melon, known as the “fruit of royalty” is said to have been an inspiration for tastemakers over the course of history, has long been treasured for its honey-sweet flavor and smooth finish, Grey Goose said.
