Pedestrian killed by car in hit-run on LeJeune at 8th Street

 

A female pedestrian was struck and killed Thursday morning in a hit-and-run at LeJeune Road and Southwest Eighth Street in Miami.

A woman in her 50s was struck and killed by a silver Hyundai.

Police say witnesses tracked down the driver severla blocks away, CBS4 reports.

"These individuals were able to convince this person to come back to the scene, said Miami police Sgt. Luis Taborda.

Eighth Street was shut down between Southwest 42nd and 44th avenues in both directions, said Miami police spokeswoman Kenia Reyes.
