Miami firefighter busted on Internet child-porn charges

A 30-year-old Miami firefighter was arrested by FBI agents on charges of possessing images of child pornography downloaded from the Internet at his workplace.

Alexander Rousseau, who joined Miami Fire Rescue in 2007, was ordered held without bond Monday in Miami federal court.

Rousseau is accused of downloading several videos of children engaged in sexual acts on a laptop at Miami fire station No. 6, where he was assigned. Investigators said he downloaded the child porn using peer-to-peer software.

Miami Fire Rescue “takes any allegation against any member of our department seriously and will continue to work closely with law enforcement in their investigation,” a spokesman said.
