Hollywood police identify man killed in apartment fire

Hollywood police on Sunday identified the man killed in a building fire Saturday.

Tarrance Deron Jenkins, 36, was found dead after a fire broke out in an apartment complex at 1610 N. Dixie Hwy. at about 12:30 a.m. Saturday.

Police say the fire was suspicious, and they are now investigating its cause. Twenty-five residents were displaced by the fire.

Anyone with information is asked to call Hollywood Police Department at 954-967-HELP. Tipsters can e-mail or text hollywoodpdtips@hollywoodfl.org. Information can also be given to Broward CrimeStoppers at 954-493-TIPS.
