Business Plan Challenge entries head to judging

Nearly 200 entries flowed into the 2014 Business Challenge, the Miami Herald’s annual entrepreneurship contest, by the deadline on Saturday.

The entry period is now closed. If you entered the Challenge and did not get a confirmation by the contest coordinator, Nancy Dahlberg, that your entry was received, please email so that we can check that it got to us.

The first round of semifinalists will be announced in the Miami Herald Business Monday section and online on April 21. The winners will be announced and profiled in a special section of Business Monday on May 19. There will be a People’s Pick video competition May 5-11.

Keep up with the progress of the contest on and follow along on Twitter with @ndahlberg or #MHChallenge.
