I recently visited Dubai. It is obvious that they are using their oil wealth well, even though they lack basic human rights. What impressed me the most was their taxi system. There are five companies, one owned by the government, which owns and maintains the vehicles, paying 35 percent of the revenue to the drivers. The cars are mostly new and immaculate. They have a device for credit-card payments. All drivers wear uniforms and they seem to have been trained to treat their customer with respect. Their English is perfect. What an example for Miami.
