A mansion built on spec at 2068 North Bay Road in Miami Beach sold for $20.5 million Tuesday.
The 12,500-square-foot house overlooks Sunset Lake and has an organic contemporary design that incorporates Burmese teak in its exterior.
The lot spans more than 28,000 square feet.
The North Bay Road area — abuzz with construction of contemporary-style mansions — has been particularly hot.
The seller was 2068NBR LLC, which is a partnership managed by Miami land baron Sergio Rok and including builder Barry Brodsky, president of Brodson Construction, and Nelson Gonzalez, a luxury broker with EWM Realtors.
The buyer listed the home in a limited liability corporation, 2068 North Bay LLC, and wasn’t identified.
The 7-bedroom house has high ceilings, walls of impact glass, a cabana with summer kitchen, an elevator, a library, a roof-top terrace, a pool and spa, seven full bathrooms and two half baths, and a three-car garage.
Gonzalez, who represented both seller and buyer, said the partners acquired the site for $4 million in September 2011.
