Hialeah motorcyclist killed in Weston crash

A motorcyclist who crossed paths with an SUV in Weston has died.

The crash happened Monday on U.S. 27, north of Griffin Road. Gustavo Enrique Cepeda, 50, of Hialeah, died after being taken to Broward Health Medical Center, according to the Broward Sheriff's Office.

Cepeda was riding a 2007 Harley Davidson motorcycle at 1:47 p.m. Monday when he tried to cross U.S. 27 from a gas station north of Griffin.

He drove into the path of a 2007 Mercury SUV driven by 49-year-old Susan Brothers of Pembroke Pines, BSO said. Brothers was not hurt in the crash and there were no charges.
