TNA Lockdown on Miami: Gail Kim on The Roman Show

Passion is what keeps TNA Knockout Gail Kim going strong.

In an interview with the Roman Show, the former TNA Knockouts champ said her love for the sport is what encourages to give 100-percent in her performances. Kim added that she lost her passion after getting released, but she got it right back.

“I was fired when I first entered this business in WWE after two years,” she said, “and, I lost my passion, but I found it again, and TNA helped me find it again.”

Kim will battle TNA Knockouts champ Madison Rayne in a steel cage for the title at the TNA Lockdown pay-per-view on Sunday, March 9 at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami, 1245 Dauer Dr. in Coral Gables. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are on sale. The show airs on pay-per-view at 8 p.m. EST.

Kim said that she is ready to face Rain in a steel cage.

“I am well seasoned in steel cage matches,” she said. “It is always something special.”

Moreover, she said her feud has been followed well by fans.

“Two weeks ago, we had a street fight,” he said. “We had a good response. I have pressure to deliver to the fans and I love it.”

She also spoke about her dream match and said she is open to a submission match, which is something she hasn't done yet in her career.

“I would love to wrestle Beth Phoenix again,” she said. “Natalia, Taryn Terrell in a rubber match, but when she comes back. I am so for having women in this business.”

Kim, who wrestled for WWE, said women in professional wrestling and in mixed martial arts always have that extra pressure to perform better. She also described being a fan of UFC women's champion Ronda Rousey.

“I love Ronda,” she said. “I was blown away. We have shown that women a draw in this business. She's intense. You can see her passion.”
