TNA Lockdown on Miami: Tigre Uno on The Roman Show

Mexican luchador and newly signed TNA Impact wrestling wrestler Tigre Uno hopes to bring the lucha libre to the promotion.

He has a chance to do so with his debut at the TNA Lockdown pay-per-view on Sunday, March 9 at the BankUnited Center at the University of Miami, 1245 Dauer Dr. in Coral Gables.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and tickets are on sale. The show airs on pay-per-view at 8 p.m. EST.

“It is an honor to wrestle in Miami for the first time,” he said in an Spanish on The Roman Show. “I hope to have great results and come out with a victory.”

Tigre Uno will face former TNA X Division champ Manik inside a steel cage. The event is an all stell cage PPV.

He is ready to debut his Mexican lucha libre style to the United States and in TNA.

“We come to bring Mexican luchalibre, which is different,” he said. “We have speed, aerial moves, strength. It is a mix and I bring it.”

Prior to TNA Impact Wrestling, he conquered several title for the Mexican promotion AAA. He was trained by the Mexican legend Rey Misterio Sr.

“He was a tough teacher,” he said. “It was tough to adapt and train. He taught me everything I need to know about a ring.”

Uno is known for his aerial moves and his Sabertooth Splash (450-splash) and other moves like a diving guillotine and moonsault. He is proud to represent Latin Americans and looking forward to seeing many at the arena.

“I hope to have la raza's support,” he said. “Anything can happen that night.”
