Convergys grows with Stream Global acquisition

Customer-service giant Convergys Corp. this week completed its $820 million acquisition of competitor Stream Global Services.

The move is expected to bring Convergys’ annual revenue to more than $3 billion, making it the largest U.S. provider of outsourced business resources and second-largest such firm in the world.

Convergys is headquartered in Cincinnati and has Florida locations in Tamarac, Lake Mary, Jacksonville and Tampa. With the acquisition of Stream, Convergys now has 125,000 employees working in more than 150 centers in 31 countries.
