Security guard opens fire at Little Havana supermarket



An altercation at a Little Havana supermarket Wednesday night left one person in critical condition and a security guard with a head injury.

Officials said the guard was forced to open fire at Presidente Supermarket at 500 SW 8th St.

The guard was hit over the head with an object, and was taken to Ryder Trauma Center, according to City of Miami Fire Rescue.

One man who suffered multiple gunshot wounds was also transported to Ryder Trauma.
